When you embark on this stage of your life, St. Norbert Youth Ministry strives to be the place where you—a Catholic teen—can spend time with other teens searching for answers to important questions and finding ways to live a healthy Catholic life.

Confirmation Preparation

An important aspect of our Youth Ministry is the two-year Confirmation Preparation program, when we foster and develop the faith of our youth and confirm them in the Holy Spirit to be mature Catholic adults.

Faith Formation and Fellowship

We believe that youth are an essential part of the faith community here at Saint Norbert. Youth Ministry is a safe and welcoming place where young people can develop positive relationships with each other, our loving God and His Church. We offer you a variety of opportunities to help you understand, appreciate and experience that you are not only the Church of the future; you are the Church of today with a future.

The friendships that come out of this ministry, of course, can last a lifetime. We welcome teens to take part in any of our youth ministry activities, which include:

Teen Talk, Sunday evenings when Confirmation classes do not meet, from 6:30 to
8:30 p.m.

Weekly Social Nights, every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Junior and Senior Nights, on Sunday evenings when Confirmation classes meet, from
6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Confirmation classes on Sundays from 3:30 to 5 p.m., typically held twice a month
during the school year

Youth-focused Mass every Sunday at 5:30 p.m., with dynamic music and a relaxed
environment

Retreats, social outings and outreach efforts that take place throughout the year at
other sites in our community

Our parish Youth Ministry has three main goals:

Foster the spiritual and personal growth of each teen.

Draw teens into responsible participation in the life and work of our faith community
here at St. Norbert.

Empower young people to become passionate and equipped disciples of Jesus
Christ who witnesses to their faith by living and working for justice, peace and
human dignity.

Our Youth Ministry needs your support!

Do you love the Lord and want to serve Him by using your God-given talents and gifts?

Do you love teenagers? Do you want to help build a strong youth program for the teens of our parish?

If you answered “Yes,” you are exactly the one God is calling to be in His service and in the service of His youth! Please consider it!

Here are some areas where we need help:

Parent Advisory Committee – They would work with Director of Youth Faith Formation to set goals of our ministry. The committee would meet approximately four times a year

Event Chaperones – These volunteers would supervise out teens at various social and outreach events.

Christian Service Coordinator – Through actions and words, this person would show our teens the meaning of service.

Hospitality and Food Service Coordinator – Combining a welcoming spirit and love of
food this volunteer will show our teens the importance of making others comfortable
and welcome at various events.

Can you help? We need parishioners willing to financially support our Youth Ministry programs and teens! You can sponsor a specific teen for a retreat or help us purchase a needed item for youth ministry.

Sponsor a teen for Confirmation Tuition or retreat – $170

Sponsor drinks and snacks for an event cost varies – $50 to $75

T-shirts for retreats – $6

General Fund—Anything would be greatly appreciated!
