Annual Auction
The St. Norbert Parish School Annual Auction, the largest fundraiser of the year, will take place on Saturday, February 16, 2008, at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim. Click here for more information on Auction 2008: A’More: a Sparkling Celebration of Love.
Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week is our nation’s public-awareness campaign that promotes drug-free choices and healthful lives. St. Norbert Parish School celebrates Red Ribbon Week with teachers incorporating age-appropriate anti-drug lessons in their teaching plans, and student council holding activities that support the positive aspects of a drug-free life.
Catholic Schools Week
Every year in late January, St. Norbert Parish School, along with Catholic schools throughout the nation, celebrates the existence and the mission of Catholic Schools with Catholic Schools Week. Recalling the core values Catholic education strives to instill in every student, teacher and school administrator, a new theme is chosen each year. The theme for 2007-08 is “Catholic Schools: :Light the Way.”
At St. Norbert Parish School, we begin Catholic Schools Week with our parish community. After Sunday Mass we invite parishioners and guests to our pancake breakfast. On this day, everyone is welcome to visit our school’s Open House where they can peruse the Scholastic Book Fair, tour classrooms, talk with teachers and administrators, visit with other families and pick up applications for their children.
When the school week begins, the activities of each day focus on the virtues set forth in our theme. We hold outreach efforts to the local community, celebrate the lives of Saints, have a friendly volleyball competition between students and teachers, and have a lively Spirit Rally with all grades at the end of the week.
Pancake Breakfast
St. Norbert Catholic School invites parishioners and community members to its annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, January 27, 2008, beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the Old Parish Hall. This event kicks off Catholic Schools Week, a nationwide celebration of Catholic education, and proceeds from this breakfast will support the eighth graders' fundraising for their trip to Washington D.C. in the spring of 2008.
