Come to him, a living stone, rejected by human beings but chosen and precious in the sight of God, and, like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
-1 Peter 2:4

We have specifically chosen “as Living Stones” as our theme for PSA 2009. We are all called to offer ourselves as examples of Christ to each other, in our parish and in our community. Let us be as Living Stones, to help others see the light of Christ in our willingness to serve in whatever manner God wishes.

Our Family & Youth Center is OPEN and provides a tremendous gathering place to all of us. This sound and comfortable building serves daily and weekly as the home for our Youth groups, Christian Services and our parish school. In less than a year, we have come to depend on this state-of-the-art facility for numerous other activities as well.

I hope this brochure shows you how the power of the Holy Spirit at St. Norbert Catholic Church has made us all “as Living Stones.” I invite you to join me in making a financial gift to our parish for our Family & Youth Center. With your past efforts, we have made tremendous progress toward paying off our loan, but a significant balance remains. My hope for each of you is to continue to bring abundant joy and new opportunities to serve “as Living Stones” in your lives and in our parish. May the Lord bless this continued work we have begun in opening our new Family & Youth Center.

Your brother in Christ,
+ Most Rev. Cirilo Flores
Pastor
Auxiliary Bishop-elect of Orange
