You may visit the library on Sunday mornings when a library volunteer will be present to help you, or if you are attending another meeting in the room, you may check on items by signing them out on the sheet provided at the librarian’s desk. If you are looking for a particular book or video, you may also call Charlene at 637-4360 ext. 114 and, if the item you need is available it can be left for you to pick up at the Ministry Center reception desk.

Adult Faith Formation Series
Praying with Scripture
Our Tuesday evening prayer group chooses a different prayer style each session, varying between Centering Prayer, Prayer of
Remembrance, Lectio Divina (silent prayer inspired by a Scripture passage), and Taizé Prayer. The group welcomes newcomers. We meet in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at 7:30 p.m.
Parish Retreats
St. Norbert Parish offers two opportunities during the year to take a few hours away from the busyness of our lives and spend with God and with one another in prayer.
Spiritual Enrichment
Confessions of St. Augustine
St. Augustine, a bishop of the 4th century, is one of the Church’s greatest theologians. One of his most popular works is The Confessions, in which he tells the story of his conversion to Christianity, and includes some of his theological essays. This summer, St. Norbert Adult Faith Formation will offer the opportunity to become familiar with the person of St. Augustine, the world and culture in which he lived, and the content of The Confessions, using a series of video lectures and discussion. These presentations capture the heart of Augustine’s work in the context of his own time and in the context of our own. For those who would enjoy reading the actual text along with the videos, paperback copies of The Confessions translated by Maria Boulding will be available at the first meeting for $10.
We will meet for twelve Tuesday evenings, beginning June 21 at 7:30 p.m., have a two-week break in August, and conclude the series on September 20. For additional information, please call Charlene at (714) 637-4360.
Monday Morning Bible Study
Our current series will be on the Old Testament Book of Genesis, using the text by Fr. Jim O'Bryan, A Christian Walks through Genesis. Meetings begin at 9:15 a.m. in the Ministry Center Library. For more information, call Monica at (714) 998-3215 or Sue at (714) 974-9234.
